AFAIK, SB1 and SB2 are looking the same, but the SB2's graphics
capabilities are enhanced over the SB1.

Finding out that it runs SqueezeCenter direct from the device itself

I use another solution for the controller. I have a Philips Pronto 9400
touch screen remote control with an application to control the
Squeezebox. It is not a very cheap solution but the application is
embedded in a remotecontrol-only solution, which I think is ideal.

I agree. It looks like a digital picture frame from a few years ago. I
think it needs to be smaller, or have a bigger screen,even if it's a bit
more expensive. The Classic looks good on a shelf, this looks cheap.

Well even if you did get help from the CSR at SD I'd guess that would
be the very first question (and suggestion) from a properly trained CSR
that you must be running SC7.4.x for your Touch to function properly.
I was able to order a Touch before it was taken off the website. I was
even emailed an order number. I am not sure what will happen next.
