I'm sorry to post this again, but as SlimServer seem to run very badly for only me and no-one else at all, I'd really appreciate a reply from someone who understands the technicalities of exactly how the database, scanning, indexing and song/genre/artist/album listing works. This is my original

BTW. If anyone can recommend a Linux/Unix distro that will run very well on a 500khz, 512mRAM Pentium laptop, but that includes a (light?) gui front end (as I do not have the time to get to grips with the CLI) I'd a appreciate it. I only want to run SlimServer on it.(I'm assuming you mean
