Hi, Sorry about the delay on the info for the TS-401T. It will also be available mid-November. The unit, due to its power has a fan at the back of the unit. I think it is pretty safe to say that you wouldn't want your 4x 500Gb HDDs over heating -- ultra238a _

The TS-101 runs a flavour of Ubuntu Linux and we are currently getting all of the plugins that we can running on the box as standard. The TS-401T is x86 based so we should have no problems running any of the plugins on that box. Paul Progressive Consumer Electronics Ltd -- ultra238a _

Will it be possible to install plugins on QNAP ? How accessible is the underlying Linux - is there a documented telnet interface ? In particular I'd like to try AlienBBC as there are Real libraries for PPC. -- bpa ___ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lis

With reference to the 64Mb memory in the TS-101. I have had 5x Squeezeboxes streaming different MP3 files from the box without any problems. Both the web interface and the Squeezebox interface are very responsive and work quickly. FLAC files play fine also. Paul Progressive Consumer Electronics
