Did I dream it? I was sure there was an update here that the QNAP's
would be arriving in in early Feb(shortly after Chinese holidays had
finsihed).. nothing here now though, damn.

The way the script works is when there is a new release of the software
there will be a Qnap version also. You drop this in the update
directory that will be on the HDD and reboot the machine. An internal
script will then pick up the file on reboot and install the new version
of the software.

from what [EMAIL PROTECTED] has said, i believe the updates to Slimserver
will be in the for of a perl script that runs on the Qnap and downloads
new new version. I don't know if this would be from Slimdevices
directly or from Progressive. Presumably it would be possible to build
a script that cou

Sure they can't contact every customer individually, but there is this
thread, and perhaps their newsletter/mailing list which they have a
signup box for on their front page.
At the very least, someone could update the page on their own website.

Yeah, very poor showing indeed. I for one have cancelled with Cooltopia
(Progressive Consumer Electronics Ltd) today. I'll spend my money on
something else and reconsider when (a) the product is definitely in
stock and (b) once the product reviews are in (and are favourable).
What I won't be doin
Despite a promise the last time I contacted Cooltopia (after the last
delivery date came and went) that 'they'd let me know as soon as they
heard', I'd heard nothing so contacted them today to find out that they
'have now been told delivery will take place on 26th January' and that
'they don't hav

Latest date for Qnap delivery from Multitask Computing appears to be 21
January - firmware problem. Best to have it working properly with a
delayed delivery though.

Well, suprise suprise, but advancedmp3 are now showing an expected
delivery date of Wednesday 18 January.
Presumably Progressive are back off holiday now and can add something
to this discussion?

advancedmp3players.co.uk. They've put countless dates on their website
that haven't materialised.
Hi there, is there any offical word from progressive yet? I appreciate

The current situation for the Qnap TS-101 is that we will be getting a
delivery leaving them on the 20th and into us on the 23rd December. We
will be shipping them as soon as we can but realisticly we aren't going
to get them out for Christmas but between Christmas and the New Year.
