OK this is going to sound stupid, but my SB3 will often do what you are describing on internet radio stations and the only way to reconnect is to actually unplug the power cord from the back of the SB3, wait a few seconds and plug it back in. After it reboots, reconnects, etc. all is well. I know

It seems that if I do a factory reset & connect to SqueezeNetwork (Radio 1) first & not SlimServer it works fine but, as soon as I connect to SlimServer the silence returns... Is there any debug I can turn on that might help? -- MrP -

If the test tone plays then your hardware is OK. Look for a firewall issue, or perhaps something on the server side that is preventing it from opening files or something. Also try SqueezeNetwork. -- seanadams seanadams's P

That the spectrum analyzer shows a flatline would imply that it isnt the audio output... I would suspect something like a firewall on your server. If the SB can't connect to grab the music stream it will do something like what you describe: the server -thinks- the SB is playing but the SB knows b

Just an update on this, I've tried pressing the power button and pressing 3, an annoying tone can be heard for ages until I power the unit off, I've also tried programming xilinx by pressing 1. Still no sound from the SB2 :-( -- MrP -
