That's what I'm setting up tonight. Already got the T-Amp and power
supply. The SB3 arrives later today. Haven't settled yet

I have an SB3 plus a T-amp in the kitchen, driving a pair of JBL control
1 speakers. The amp is silent when there is no music playing.
Volume levels are not great, but as a second setup (the main one is in
our living room) it works really well.

What most people call "computer speakers" have amplifiers in them and
are meant to take a line-level input, not the output of an amplifier
even as small as the T-Amp. I'm not surprised that noise was amplified
to an intolerable level, and I don't think you'll like the results with
music either.
Yes - the T-Amp makes no audible noise.
You may find that noise will be introduced into the combination,
possibly by the power supply or RFI from other divices.
Unless the listening volume is intended to be low you will need
efficient speakers as the T-Amp only puts out around 6 (real
world)watt
