Another thumbs up for the Sevenoaks dealership - they tend to stock
slightly higher end gear, so could quite easily slip a few SB's into
most sales... :)
How about a Squeezebox3 to go with your 50-inch Pioneer plasma, sir?
Oh, go on then...

It occurred to me a while ago that Richer Sounds may be an ideal vendor.
Any thoughts?

Only speculating, but i would think Richer sounds would want to be able
to discount them instead of being the same price as everywhere else.
Could be wrong though

I think Richersounds prefer to stock end of line products, imports or
own brands to keep the prices down.
Sevenoaks are another nationwide hifi store, but I would think the
likes of Currys, Dixons, PC World etc. may have a better impact on
sales.

Lets be realistic here, Richer Sounds wouldn't really know what to do
with it and then they would dump the price to clear stock. Hi-fi
dealers like Audio-T will be a good way to drive awareness forward now
we have good retail looking product. As the market grows overall with

Interesting - you seem to imply that Audio T already do Roku then? I
suppose I should get out more!

Audio T do list Roku together with about 100 other hifi brands on the
Brands Stocked page on their website.
I'm not sure this means much - their branches don't
Audio-T do indeed stock Roku, and I'm pretty sure that's the only such
device they sell. Just on feature set alone, it is so obvious the
SqueezeBox demolishes the Roku, I didn't have a hard time convincing
the chap at this branch.

Ooh great news, Progressive appear keen to deal with Audio-T so they're
getting 2 from the first batch next week...one with my name on it.
Peachy!

When I visited my local Audio T store rcently, I noticed that they are
now selling Sonos. Thing is Sonos is a lot more expensive. For just 1
room you are looking at about GBP900.
Looks like Hi-Fi retailers are waking up to streaming audio.

Didn't you mean to say 'one of the main high street av retailers in
-the south of England-'? Although the BBC often make the same mistake,
it's not -quite- the same thing. ;)

Meh, fair enough. Shows how often I venture north of Swindon :-).

Hear, hear! As a resident of the grim north, I've never even heard of
them!

Thanks for that. Are they the OFFICIAL distributer? I get the

I would say they were AN official distributor, in so far as they are one
of the resellers listed on the SlimDevices site:

The link above has two distributors for the UK - Ingram Micro and
Progressive AV.

Progressive AV are great to deal with, I would recommend them to
Audio-T
I have a feeling they may struggle to get stock though for a few
weeks.

contact ProgressiveAV.

www.dabs.com is normally a good barometer of availability.
They were showing stock expected last week, at levels of about 30 or so
wireless/white black as well as a few wired models of each.
They have now downgraded to 'expected soon' a situation reminiscent on
the SB1 and SB2 launches
Let me clarifyProgressiveAV ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) is our
distributor in the UK. They made SB2 available through Ingram to supply
smaller accounts. At this point, I do not know what their plans are with SB
v3 relative to Ingram.
Once I have more info, I'll post it.

http://www.cooltopia.co.uk/ will probably have units first since it's run by
our good friends at Progressive AV.
