I have noticed since changing to 7.4.2 that I seem to get more frequent
re- buffeting . Also, and more disturbing, when I fall asleep at night
with music playing inthe sleep mode(90minutes) when I wake in the
morning the station lights are on but the music is silent. Somehow the
music just stops

If you mean the FW versions for each, yes.
In fact, both can run on the later FW, just deny the FW upgrade
(downgrade) on the players when connecting to the server running a
previous FW version.
Thank you. Good info to know for me. I wonder if this issue is a known
issue with 7.2.4 and if others have experianced it. I only seem to
become aware of it during the night.
I am thoroughly enjoying my Squeezes and the 3 music services I
subscribe to(Rhapsody,lastfm and Classical.com). I am

Just moved to a new computer. Clean install of Windows XP, Slimserver,
Softsqueeze, etc... Was working fine on my old Win2K (Slimserver
6.5.0). Can't find anything weird in the debugging logs (but not sure
which to turn on...)
SlimServer Version: 6.5.1 - 11206 - Windows XP - EN -
I have the same problem. I can see the visualization going to the
silent music. As soon as I press the Play button again on SoftSqueeze
or the SqueezeBox, the sound comes back.

I have the same problem. I am using two wireless SB3 and one instance of
Softsqueeze all synced together. Every now and then the sound stops but
the tracks appear to continue playing. I usually jut press play which
restarts the current track and sorts it out. I would like to work out
what is
I have Slim running on an older Dell Dimension (win 2k, 768RAM). I have
2 wired SB and 1 wireless on the LAN as well as a Softsqueeze running
through the local IP (192 etc). When all 4 players are synced, it
appears that at the end of each track, the sound stops. The music keeps
playing, as shown
