If you ask me... Shouldn't the SqueezeBox Controller be included with the SqueezeBox Transporter, instead of the basic IR remote controller that's bundled right now? I think that the SqueezeBox Transporter would be more 'high end' and better value for money. (And easier to sell) -- verypsb ---

My understanding from talking to Logitech support whilst attempting to get a replacement backlit remote for my Transporter was that US Transporters came with a backlit one whilst "International" ones came with the standard remote. I bought mine directly from SlimDevices in the States. MC -- M

It would have to be bundled with an ordinary remote as well as not all users may have Wifi and I don't think Transporter can do an ad-hoc wifi network. Also IR capability of controller may not be able to do all IR functions of remote (e.g. brightness, hold left) for those difficult situations whe

I'll add that I have tried rebooting the Transporter, resetting the Xilinx, rebooting the machine running Squeezebox Server, and trying a different Slim Devices remote, and none of these things has fixed the problem. -- dagordon --
