Whilst trying to get MusicIP to work, I did my first clean-and-rescan in
ages (using SS 6.5.3) - and every single one of my thumbnails
disappeared!

Some discoveries:
Turning off Sophos AV whilst scanning made no difference.
Unselecting "use MusicMagic" in Server Settings (by selecting "Don't
use MusicMagic" - MusicIP service still running), then scanning DID
work. Even for a "new/changed" scan when I'd only changed one album,
thumbnails of
