I'm dual ripping my music collection (flac and lame), and plan on using to mp3 files on a ipod nano. I don't plan on buying itunes store music, so compatibility with their store isn't a concern. >From past exeriences I'm no big fan of itunes. What are the good alternatives out there which work

Thanks to itunes I had the recent pleasure of flying to Europe without any music. Unfortunately vPod doesn't support current iPod firmware, so I'm wondering what software (other than iTunes malware) people are using to get music onto their iPods WITHOUT impacting what's already on the damned thin

Sorry for the late follow-up. I did eventually resolve my iTunes library rebuilds. I don't understand what was going on. It seems to have been issue with confused resource forks on the file server (an Infrant/Netgear ReadyNAS) on which I store my iTunes library. Some combination of carefully delet
