Fixed it! for some reason i discovered two iTunes iTunes Database XML

I don't use iTunes but from other threads I have read, your analysis is

Having not gotten any responses, let me ask a more pointed question. I
am wondering whether my problem is that I am running iTunes off a mac

Where is your iTunes XML library file located? Also is your music folder

In SqueezeCenter 7.0 ... how come the itunes playlist (folders) are

everything, one in apple lossless, the other in mp3 for the ipod).

Speaking of playlists, why can´t the server detect so-called smart
playlists from iTunes?

I am having the same problem. I have never attempted to use iTunes in

set it up to use iTunes.

You may need to specify a Slim Server playlists directory - I couldn't
get SS to pick up iTunes playlists until I did this.
Also, some of the older versions of SS were just crap at reading iTunes

Did you do a search for other itunes music library.xml files? I had a

Its weird but iTunes seems to change the location of the .xml in use. I
finally loaded each .xml file in IE and searched trough until I found

SS is already pointed to the itunes xml file (the iTunes playlists are

SS FAQ says the smart playlists are picked up as a snapshot at the time
the library is rescanned.

Find your "itunes music library.xml" file. That contains your play
lists and library. Next point your Slimserver to where the file is.
(Server Settings, Basic Settings, Playlists Folder) While you are
there make sure the "Use Itunes" radio button is selected.
Two other things:

I am running SS 6.5.5 - 12607 under Windows XP; the music library is
located on an external machine using a mapped drive to point to it.
The file path points to the correct iTunes library file.

Podcasts are the only problem, I don't have any checked items in iTunes

Hi all,
Why is it that my iTunes Playlists seem to have a mind of there own
when used with the SB3?
After a few days use, they gradually disappear. If you stop SlimServer
and then run slim.exe from the command line (search on here for why I
did that...) then they come back.

Hi
Now I have updated to 6.2 my iTunes playlists do not appear!
The itunes XML file is on the same drive as all the music and I have
set itunes to manage my files. I have tried re-scanning in the

Any ideas?

I use iTunes to rip and manage my music - and I rip everything as both
