I've just installed Open Office on my PC. I like it so far.
The issue I'm running into is that I have Word Perfect on my PC and I've
generated an enormous number of files in Word Perfect format.
So far, I've been unable to figure out how to open a Word Perfect file
with Open Office.

The next version of OpenOffice.org can open WP files (but not write
them). It should be out in a month or two. You can download the beta
version right now from our website and try it out.

I found a service called 'soffice.exe' running. I closed it and tried
to install again. This time, I succeeded.

I took an old Word Perfect document and made a .pdf out of it just fine.

OpenOffice.org Writer can work with WordPerfect documents. Since OOo is
free, why not give it a try and see if it does what you need? Just make
sure you do
Which version of WP?
Do you have a sample file for testing?
