Thank you, this explained everything but raised another question. I just
changed my code and removed the @mode. Now, the question is , why did
you use @role in your example. Why didn't you use @language ? Is there
a specific reason ? Is any of them dedicated for this kind of customization?
Hi,
This is not as easy as it seems it should be.
To center something vertically in XSL-FO, you must have a container that
defines an area as vertically big as you want to center within, and then use
the display-align="center" property to center its content vertically within
that area.

The FOP convenience scripts that come with FOP handle adding the Batik.jar.
I successfully processed a document with SVG files using those scripts. Use
either "fop" on Linux or "fop.bat" on Windows. You can examine the commands
they use to determine how to set up your own command line.

Hi,
That's a feature, as some chapters don't have much before the first section.
You can set the stylesheet parameter 'chunk.first.sections' to 1 (the default

Can you provide some more information about how you are creating your extra
pages? Are you creating a new page-sequence with page master-name
'titlepage'? If so, I don't think there is enough information in the
context of the header/footer content templates to distinguish between them.

This isn't valid DocBook 4/5, as there's no programlisting/@mode, so
that's the first thing to fix:

This should work:
assuming that the lang attribute is set on the root element (/*).

Someother stylesheet expert may give you a better advice, as I am not
that advanced. However, if I were you I will do this in one of two ways:
method one: assign a variable then use it as an attribute in your tag.
For example:
displayviewimages="true">
method 2: is to output the results
Hi!
The original javahelp.xsl has no JavaHelp 2.0 support, and so I can't set the
presentation-tag. I added a standard presentation-tag to the javahelp.xsl, and
changed all links from JavaHelp 1.0 to JavaHelp 2.0. It works!
I am still a beginner with JavaHelp and DocBook! I looked again to the
