Thanks to all who replied to my question. I eventually ordered a battery from my local shop* which was cheaper than any I'd found on the net and after a few days (in which I have religiously alternated full charge and discharge) seems fine. For all I can see it's just like the ones I was dubious

First, As android is based on linux, can I ask a question about it here? My Android wireless tablet (Archos 70 @£99) seems to be doing UDP floods on to my router. Has anyone experienced similar? Second, I want to know if it really is the tablet, so am considering putting wireshark on the laptop.
