[Dorset] texlive problem

I have just used the synaptic package manager to download and install texlive-math-extra. It does not appear in the applications menu and I can't find a way of starting it. There is a folder in /etc called texmf containing a number of folders and files. Can anyone help please? Peter H

Help!!! I have just upgraded to Ubuntu 10.04 and now I can't log in. The log in screen appears with this message "INSTALL PROBLEM The configuration defaults for Gnome Power Manager have not been installed correctly. Please contact your computer administrator." I am now reduced to using Windo
