Current my set up is that the MTA and Dovecot (maildir) is on the same
machine. Ive been asked to seperate the services from the same machine
(too would like to add a secondary MTA - but thats future ideas).
I read the documentation on NFS, but from other sites i have read.
Most say this is NO

Why can't you have a lightweight MTA on the dovecot server that only
accepts from your primary MTA? That seems to be the simplest and most
reliable solution.
After all, its not like an mta is going to cost you anything!

Estava tendo o erro de Corrupted dovecot.index, atualizei da versao 1.

I'm using iPlanet DS and Solaris's LDAP library.
People have had different kinds of problems with Solaris LDAP
library. You could try if OpenLDAP works better.

I just installed dovecot 1.0.7 Set up the pem files for SSL, set up
the xinet.d/imaps files and it logs into the server gets a list of all
the mbox files in the ~/mail directory and creates representations of
them in Apple mail. The problem I am having is when I click on one

OK, so here is my weirdness. I sent mail to the server from the
command line.
mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] < /etc/passwd
When I open /var/spool/mail/username I can see 2 messages. The
"system" message at the top and the the message produced from my
command line email.
