When using another LDA, for example when specifying the Maildir, it works,
but then i cannot use Sieve scripts.
Any ideas? Am I doing anything wrong?

requiring them to make changes to their settings. Is it possible to configure
Dovecot to handle multiple authentication back-ends or do any of you have found
a solution to a similar problem before?

Another question to which I couldn't find the answer in the wiki is whether
'lda' should be added to the protocols line in the configuration, such that
it becomes:
protocols pop3 pop3s imap imaps lda

ve this by removing *maildirsize *which solves it, is there any fix
for
this bug ?
Hi, which LDA are you using? deliver from Dovecot? or another one, for
example vdelivermail from vpopmail?

been created (I think) in the protocol lda section of
the config file. I specifieD:
auth_socket_path = /var/run/dovecot/auth-master
However I thought since using vpopmail I don't need to use the auth-master ? or
am I missing something?

Did you read this page ?
http://wiki.dovecot.org/Upgrading/1.2
Actually I did. Twice even. Somehow I thought those settings did not apply
to me since currently we only use the pop3 protocol. Pretty stupid eh?
My apologies.

/dovecot.conf line 81:
Unknown setting: login_greeting_capability
Are these settings deprecated? and if so, what supersedes them? Commenting
them out for now did the trick.

I am currently using: "mail_location = maildir:~/Maildir" in combination
with vpopmail. Does this need to be changed? or is ~/Maildir considered an
absolute directory?
Is there anything else I should be aware of ?

ecreate all .qmail and .qmail-default files?
Am I missing anything else? Does anybody have any experience in changing LDA on
production servers?

ould it be that IDLE prevents a neccessary file handle

guessing i misplaced the line somewhere in the config file. Where
should it be placed? Does it work for both pop3 and imap?

Further investigation revealed that the problem exists with Outlook Express,
but not with Mozilla Thunderbird. Thunderbird specifies "no new messages".

How can i further troubleshoot what the uidl problem is?

but because we want to maintain one

Is anybody aware of a conversion script that properly maintains the UIDL? Or
am I misisng something else here?
