I use DQSD heavily and I would be lost without it. I would be willing in
principle to try and fix it but I have no idea at all how it works; nor do I
have IE11 although that could be remedied.

IMO this release has been as thoroughly vetted by the Q/A dept. as it is
going to be, and you should remove the beta :)

Hello all,
Rather quiet is this list. I hope someone is still reading it :)
I've written a few times about my problems getting the search bar to sit
transparently in my Windows 7 taskbar. I had it looking pretty good until I
installed IE 9 beta, and now it's a light blue for some reason.
want to try all black (RGB: 0/0/0).

Thanks
localsearch.css for these color
settings.
If you don't already have it, try reinstalling my complete theme:

is that the color black seems to still have a transparent
property with DQSD, so perhaps if you completely wipe out the theme and
re-apply mine, you might still make out ok.

BTW, what version of Win7 are you running? (32-bit, Home, Premium,
Ultimate, etc.) It seems that some folks running Win7 Home Basic won't
have Aero Glass until upgrade to a better version.

On my notebook computer I discovered Aero was disabled, and with it enabled
my search bar looks even worse. Now not only is it black rather than
transparent (or taskbar-color or whatever), the bottom quarter or so is a
medium-blue color I don't recognize from anywhere...
Is it only me?
I got the files from http://vysa.net/dqsd.zip and put the appropriate ones
in my DQSD program folder and it looks great, except for color: it's black
where my taskbar is light blue. What might I be missing?
Very big TIA...
Well, personnaly I still couldn't live without dqsd and use it on a
minutely basis. :)
The low volume maybe means it's a mature product now.
I agree, on both counts.
I think it would be cool to have it as a Sidebar gadget, but otherwise I'm
quite happy with it as-is.

I definitely agree it's a problem with DQSD, I just think both
reuseBrowserWindowMode and launchmode affect how DQSD interacts with

Well, there are only six possibilities from launchmode = 0/1 and
reuseBrowserWindowMode = 0/1/2, and I can attest
I reported this over a year ago. The replies I got were along the lines of

note that the blank window has Protected Mode off while the window with
content has it on.

Hello all,
I've recently started playing with Vista to see if I can live with it; of

crashes the Explorer process.
1. (Cosmetic) I found in an archived message

The translations searches (some words en-es) seem to be broken. I found by
