Garey, I know we need to leave all the finals in on a TR-4 because of the
series parallel filaments, but could one leave the plate caps off one or two
tubes to cut the power output instead of using a power reducing network ? Boyd

If you can sell the good one, I may be interested in

My daughter (teacher) has a small battery powered label maker that you can
change the tape and colors on, and change the sizes of print which will just
fit the wind

The FS-4 does inject a bit of noise to the R-4_ receiver as well. So aux
crystals are not only cheaper but also quieter.

I've owned FS-4s and they are neat accessories for the shortwave listener, WARC
band user, etc.? If one is only interested in a limited number of band
segments, however, it might be more cost effective to populate the rear panel
with crystals for the bands of interest.? What the FS-4 offers is r

Keep an eye out for the Drake FS-4 (I think that's the designation).
That is the Drake manufactured synthesizer. It matches the rigs and
comes up every once in a while on eBay. They can be somewhat pricey,
but very cool. I want to get one some day, and have been watching the
prices for a year or
Note that a spectrum analyzer should be used to ensure that the scheme used is
not rich in harmonics, spurious responses, and so forth.
