Hi Loren, My opinion -- don't try it. Most invertors have a terribly distorted waveform e.g. square wave with spikes. It'll make the AC-4's xfmr run terribly hot, and if it works at all the voltages delevered to your rig will probably not be as expected. It's been done, also happens with

David, I found your note interesting because the same thing happened on my TR-7 (S/N 46xx) recently. I did a full alignment on the radio and carefully followed the instructions (more than once) and the result was the same: the LED would not go out when I adjusted the predriver control
