A few months ago I found a reference to another ham that offered tubes
for Drake and some other rigs. I thought they were very reasonably
priced and made a note of it but for the life of me I cannot seem to
find it now.

I just received a TR3 in excellent condition and was in the process of
troubleshooting looking for potential problems. All was well when after about
30 minutes it lost all sound on receive and the S meter pegged at over 60 on
the right side of the scale when the Function control is set to SSB
Jack -
Check the voltages and resistances around the AF Output tube.
Cathode resistor, cathode bypass cap, B+ decoupling cap, plate
decoupling resistor, output transformer.
