I have got a problem with my very nice and not very much used TR-7A.
I am using the receiver-part from time to time with no problem.
Yesterday I would go ON air also with the transmitter-part.
I am using the mic. 7077 / Shure 444.
Last time I used the TR-7A on air, everything works

There are many more knowledgeable than I, but let's start with some easy things.
Try CW, see if you have power out at all. This will split the trouble between
totally TX failure, and only one mode gone.
Then check the connectors on the mic. Try another mic, if you have one. Is

I was working the CQ WW DX Friday night (C line and L4B) on 40,
picking up a couple "new ones", cndx here were just so,so. All was
well, shut down. Resumed Saturday morning,
20 sounded in great shape. Tuned up the twins on the new band,
kicked in the L4B, and nothing. Amp turns on,
I can open My TR-3. Which wire?

Yup...tubes are stone cold dark...not a heck of a lot in that circuit

I'm not sure how the filaments are wired at the tube sockets, but
suspect the wire connections there, plus if the pins aren't tight they can
have enough resistance to develop enough heat to actually melt the solder in
the tube pins themselves. But you wouldn't expect that to happen to b
