Hi all, I recently acquired an RV-4C to go with my TR-4C. The problem I am experiencing is when the RV-4C is in the RCV mode, I can still hear the station in another part of the band the TR-4C is tuned to. In other words when I switch the RV-4C on the TR-4C is not completely blocked out. I d

Usually a result of the hard rubber "doughnut" behind the dial plate hardening with age. You can try removing the doughnut and roughening the "ends" with sandpaper to give a better grip. Some have used automotive "heater hose" to replace the original. There is a good article on this at

Hi Jim I have, as part of the Drake collection here, an RV-4C in very nice condition, and works fine.  I also have, for the TR-4C I have it sitting with, an MS-4 speaker so I have a speaker option.  I have found I don't use the 2nd VFO very often. I am not sure what you are looking for exactl
