The PIO definition presented there raises no polemics but I don't see

hey,
i have a radeon 7500 and i had loads of lockups with RTCW. i could not
play it at all until i heard about the temporary fix for the AGP/Athlon
mess (i'm still not sure what has come of it). mem=nopentium fixed RTCW
for me. before i could barely get into the game before it would freeze.
now
I am seeing this too.. Interestingly enough Quake3 locks up withing a
first minute of playing with no visible messages. I am often able to
telnet it. However, Descent3 (started without multitexturing) is rock
solid.
