It would appear that DRI forces DDC monitor
detection, and ignores the sync lines in the XF86Config-4 when it fails,
instead using what would appear to be internal settings.
X 4.3.99.6 works fine and uses the sync settings in
the config.

RADEON_NO_VTXFMT and it worked just fine. The images look good and
performance is good.
