I am unable to create any successfull build of Mesa CVS in last 2 weeks. r300_dri.so compiles, but each OpenGL application except glxgears segfaults on Mesa calls. There are some error messages about textures (sorry I don't have access to this computer right now).

Make sure you're using libGL from the Mesa build as well.

videocard. After a lot of work I could run glxinfo with showing enabled direct
rendering but running glxgears still fails. GDB hangs on a similar error like
