I've just rewritten the leavevt_ioctl for GEM, having found several crashes
along that path. That should fix the drm-gem branch piece of this bug.

I have read (don't remember where) that once the kernel has a sensible
infrastructure for file descriptors you'd want to convert all the ioctl
code in GEM/TTM to standard syscalls. Is that true? Do you already know
which syscalls would replace for example drmBOCreate() or the GEM_CREATE
ioctl?

Is there a single CPU-bound app using GEM that comes even near the
performance of i9

I'm not sure if it's about teximage performance, but try (whoever
interested) rotating a cube in compiz
Hi there,
our group is working on a open source solution for a virtualized high speed
glaphics
driver. Gallium3D seems to offer a very smart platform to start from and could
allow
us to constantly update the virtual driver with "physical" support for the
latest GPUs.
