I changed/varied all of these options individually, none had an effect.

Hi, I updated the wiki a bit for R300 a while ago, the fairly complete
quake3 benchmark may interest devs and users alike. Please add your own
experiences.
The configuration indicated with *** in my quake3 benchmark is the most
speedy without getting hardlocks for me.

I found on the list that this has always been broken in dri because of a
hardware issue.(?)
Example of affected apps; gtkradiant, blender,maya(hearsay)

Is there any other way for an enduser to get around the inability of
drawing gl points larger than 1x1 pixel? perhaps a Mesa setting
