Hi,
I would like to ask whether current Mesa and xf86-drv-ati
supports the new low cost, passively cooled Radeon 5450?
Thanks in advance,

Hi,
thanks to AMD for making it available, and to you in taking part of it.
My next videocard purchase will be an AMD again after my current X700.
BTW, this is the most encouraging introduction:
"The R5xx family builds on the R3xx architecture. As such, much of

Hi,
sorry for the crossposting, I don't know who to address.
I am experimenting the new CFS scheduler on Linux
and tried to start multiple glxgears to see whether
they are really running smooth and have evenly
distributed framerate.
At first I could only start two instances of glxgears
but the t

Congrats!
r300 driver causes a chip lockup, I've loaded fglrx and from what I can
see it disables the Vertex Shaders in hw and does that bit of the pipeline
in sw.. at least on the system I have.

This fits pretty much the 365 FPS at [EMAIL PROTECTED] that I have obtained
for my Radeon 7200 PCI. The figures look correct to me.
You can significantly increase the frame rate by reducing the color depth to
16bpp. Maybe this explains the reported differences.

Hi,
I am running the Linuxconsole.sf.net multiconsole extension
on my machine and I have a Radeon 9200SE/AGP8x and a PCI Radeon7000VE.
Both cards are driven hardware accelerated with DRI.
I noticed behaviour differences running Tuxracer/PPracer between
the two cards.
E.g. on the Radeon 7000VE, the
