In case it helps to clarify anything here's how I tend to setup DSpace
(in production).
First, as noted, I use AJP as described here (there are other ways to do
the Apache -> Tomcat communication, but I've found AJP the easiest myself):

communications/redirects. The number of redirects/rewrites is quite a bit

We have migrated a DSpace CRIS instance from one server to another.
We are wondering if there is a method for rebuilding iiif-storage-*, OCR
