Hi all
Are there any smart people out there who have used Creative Commons with
an individual country jurisdiction rather than the generic license.
If you have can you share your experience.
There must be someone who has gone down this path but I cannot see any
implementations apart from the sta
Hello,
I am a newbie viz. DSpace.
We @ Nirvana (http://www.nirvanastorage.com) are
working towards integrating SRB (Nirvana version) as a

I was playing with the prototype pluggable storage

Hi Peter
In [dspace-install-home]/config/templates/log4j.properties, I normally
bump up the following property:
log4j.appender.A1.MaxFileSize
to 500MB or so to get more mileage (esp for the stats), then run
[dspace-home]/bin/install-configs.

We are currently running version 1.3.2 of Dspace at our institution. In
the past few months we've received an increasing number of the following
errors. It seems to happen when a bot scans the collection in the middle
of the night. In recent weeks, it can generate as many as 400 error

Gary,
Thank you and every one for the help. The problem was due to my
server.xml not configured properly to listen on 8009 and I did have to
change the workers properties to use 8009 also. I have the product
working fine now.
I would like to have the application work without having to add the

After installing version 1.4.2 I don't get meaningful statistics
anymore. All statistics show 0 results.
The cause of this is that the dspace.log file is now very small. It
doesn't record user's activities. Does anybody know how to solve this?

I started having these out of nowhere when trying to submit files to
DSpace. Any ideas how can I fix this. Restaring, re-indexing or
vacuuming the db doesnt help. My guess is that some item is maliciously
left hanging and thus blocking the way for other items.

Thank you very much,
I have another doubt: Is it correct Than I only use the qdc metadataPrefix and
I don´t use the oai_dc? I thought than it was compulsory using oai_dc.
Thank you again.

Hi Andrea,
you might use both the default oai_dc and qdc, thus the service
providers can choose which format to use. The request
verb=ListMetadataFormats provides the information needed.
hope that helps

Thank you very much.
I have already tested my data provider in the validator, and it seems right,
but I am not sure if the response is right because all the service providers I
am looking for in the internet use the oai_dc metadataPrefix.
My great doubt is another repositories will be able to ac
Hi,
To test your implementation of the OAI-PMH protocol you can use the following
site:
http://re.cs.uct.ac.za/
But please note: this will not test the (semantic) validaty of your qdc
crosswalk!
Hope this helps
