The patch for this doesn't work anymore since the update to 1.5.2.
Haven't had the time to try and make the mods manually.

You could try using a script (bash) with a repetitive that use the dsrun
org.dspace.app.itemimport.ItemImport command for every item you want to import.
The item's information (files location, submitter, etc) could be in a text file

This is an important feature that I want too. With choosing dspace, I
have concerns due to the lack of updated documentation and whether
future releases can be adopted without significant migration

XMLUI 1.5.2 use Cocoon 2.2. which requires some slight alteration to
the flowscripts and cocoon session types. If you show me the
breakpoints, I can explain how to fix them to you fairly easily in
