Hi
We're quite early in the process of deciding what to do, and I'm aware
that doing in place conversions is not optimal, we do have daily backups
and if we do come up with something that can do these reconversions
we'll probably work on a copy of the assetstore. I agree that having the
Hi
Thanks, I will look into curating tasks. We're still quite early in the
process, but we do have two different systems already that makes valid
PDF/A's. One is called Pixedit which is a third party tool and the
second one is a webservice we've built ourselves, but I'm unsure what
Hi all I succesfully upgraded from DSPACE 1.8 to DSPACE 3.2
Through the following steps
1 reproducing the production environment Linux Redhat 6, Tomcat, Apache,
java, postgres, ant, maven, etc
2 copying the Dspace 1.8 to the new development environment (asset store
and everything)
Dear All,

DSpace will work fine without a valid Handle registration. All features
of DSpace will still work, but it won't support
http://hdl.handle.net/xx/xx URLs.
If you wish to have a valid Handle (and have DSpace automatically
redirect http://hdl.handle.net URLs to the appropriate page), then you

Hi Naveen,
In more recent versions of DSpace (including DSpace 3.x), these older
stat-* commands have been replaced by a single dspace commandline
script ([dspace]/bin/dspace).
So, the commands should now be:
[dspace]/bin/dspace stat-general
[dspace]/bin/dspace stat-monthly
Hi Keith
Have you deployed a DSpace 4.x or higer in a Tomcat 6 or lower?
It seems to be a mismatch between java and libraries from dspace.

Hi All,
I've been trying to run the following command:
dspace stats-util --shard-solr-index
But the procees produces the following error:
Hi. And what about OAI statistics in JSPUI in dspace 4.x? I have stable ZERO
in OAI requests, but I have many requests, from worldcat, for example.

Hi Kai,
The only reason I brought up the licensing, was in case you wanted to
contribute it into mainstream DSpace. Probably most important to solve your
local needs first. But yeah, I'm thinking a Curation Task that can have
every PDF in your system run through a process to use your third party
Hi everybody
I'm facing a problem updating the (X)OAI instance of a server. It's trying
to update the OAI Solr core traversing some records that were previously
harvested from another instance (collected via qdc and ORE).
It goes OK through several items but stops in one of them, it seems that

Fyi... The batch metadata editing function will allow you to update the
owning collection for an item in a controlled manner.

Hayden,
I have never tried to modify that function. I took a quick peek at the
config files, and I do not see a setting that controls this behavior.
I did a quick code search, and I think that the following code might be
introducing the fields that you reference.
