Tim: Thank you for your advice. I did try the 5.1 ant update, but it failed. Maybe if I tried it going from DSpace 3.3 or 1.8.2 directly to DSpace 5.1 instead of doing the intermediate step to 4.3, this might work? I will try a few other things and let everyone know what works. George Koz

Hi all, Having just upgraded from 1.8 to 4.x I realise I have a bunch of old browse indices kicking around that I would like to get rid of (bi_*, communities2item, etc). It looks like running 'index-init' at version 3 might have done this for me, but that option is no longer there at version 4.
