I've come across a problem with the discovery system. DSpace-Cris 5.x.x branch.
After 5 searches the discovery system fails to work. This seems to be due to
the search parameters getting longer after each query even if it is the same
repeated query.

Please can someone help, I use Ldap for login on my institutional repository. I
keep getting the error went anyone login to the site. The Error message is *
The user name and/or password supplied were not valid. The error the dspace log
message is as follows:

Can you bind to or search to the ldap server with your username from an ldap
client other than the one in DSpace?

The dspace ldap configuration is bind to our institutional ldap server.

The error is the result of a bad "Base DN' call by DSpace.

This can be deduced from the following error in the log file:
*3F:ip_addr=0:0:0:0:0:0:0:1:failed_login:no DN found for user bisaidy*

configuration error in the path to your SOLR instance.
I recommend checking the configuration entries such as solr.statistics.
Pay particular attention to the hostname and port.

I have DSpace 5.2 running fine on a development server. I am now trying to
bring it up in production. I am using the latest ZIP source from Sourceforge
(so I don't think I am running into the previously reported build problems).
In any case, when I execute:
mvn -U clean -Pxpdf-mediafilt
OK...
I actually figured out the problem. It appears to be in using
"-Pxpdf-mediafilter-support" is causing my error. I forgot about the
installation of the jai_imageio.jar that was required. Sorry for bothering
everyone.
