I am not sure why this seems so hard to do. I have a dspace collection that
has about 3000 items. Most items have one PDF file.
All I want to do is extract all of those PDF files into a directory on my file
system so I can put them on a DVD for the customer. I only need the PDF's.

Since we upgraded from 1.7.1 to 1.8.2, we get jumbled communities and

Sometimes the order is correct, and sometimes it is randomly out of order with
collections showing up under the wrong community, and the counts show up next
to the wrong collections. C
According to the Dspace documentation, Dspace 1.8.2 will not work with Java v7.
Is anyone running 1.8.2 with Java 7? Our Java version is:
java version "1.7.0_65"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (rhel-2.5.1.2.el6_5-x86_64 u65-b17)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.65-b04, mixed mode)

We upgraded to Dspace 1.8.2. Since then, we sometimes get this error. When it
happens, the Community/Collection list is out of order and under wrong parents.
I have attached screen prints, and the error file that sometimes happens when
the community screen is mixed up, but not all the time. I
I still cannot run user written java in Dspace 1.8.2. I had no problems in
1.7. I am trying to figure out if .java programs create .class files after the
build or .jar. My Dspace 1.7 did not have .jar files for my user created java
programs.
My .class files are created in

Ever since we upgraded Dspace 1.7.1 to 1.8.2, none of our custom java scripts
run (these are not overlays). I get the error below.
On our old Dspace, we put custom java code in the

directory (local was created by us)
After I upgraded Dspace to 1.8.2, sometimes on my "community-list" page has
all of my collections and communities all mixed up. The order is wrong, the
hierarchy is wrong. Sometimes it is correct, and sometimes it's not. When it
is not, it is different every time.
Thank you

Is it possible to create a new Dspace instance onto an existing server? This
would be a completely different Dspace application, not just a copy.
We have 5 different Dspace library applications running and I don't want to
setup a new machine. I have a development box, and I want to install 2

I am getting a 404 error after I upgrade Dspace to 1.8.2.

According to the Dspace documentation, v 1.8.2 supports PostgreSQL versions 8.3

Does anyone have experience with 1.8.2 working with Postgres 9.2 or 9.3?
