I have found [dspace]/log/handle-plugin.log it has the contents below.

I get this:
ERROR: You must specify a configuration directory.
I have the directory [dspace]/handle-server and its configured in dspace.cfg

Find it and send the whole line. That should help us find the problem.

By the way I have also set the owner of everything in the [dspace] folder
including subfolders and files to tomcat6 user because initially it was
throwing errors at the file upload stage. Am not sure if this is correct as
well?
