I just don't see this being a major replacement of resources. The US
Government still seems to have a love for Motorola. The ham community still
and in my personal opinion will always have a role in emcomm. We as ham
radio operators have the time, ability and resources to fill the gaps and

Ok with all the talk of interfacing DV and FM, here is another question
if there is an FM repeater, that has no tone whatsoever, what is it about

I know all the obvious like it ticking off all the FM repeater users, and so
on... but lets say that I have a 2M FM
Ok, so here is where I am at..
First thanks to everyone! It works, no fancy software (like I had been told
in the past) just hook radio to GPS, set a few settings in the radio and

Hello everyone,
This is with the RS-91 Programming Software.
I was wondering 2 things,
First, is there a way to export the data to Excel?
And second, is there an easy way to copy the contents of A band to B band?
Or vice versa.
Thanks and 73,
Adam

WOW!!!
I never meant to start all of this; I just wanted to know if I could
surprise a distant ham buddy of mine. I guess I'll just send him an email!!

Ok, for lack of a better description.. I was wondering if there is a way

or name in the QRZ database or do a call sign search in Echolink, is there a

Most any computer store or radio shack. They are about $30 or so. I personally
use a belkin that I have not had any issues with on my 91ad using both xp and
vista.

John,
I think you are on the right track, but I don't see Icom doing
this. it would have to be something that we in the after market come up
with. By mentioning the UI are you referring to the programming software or
the on/in radio interface?
I'd like to comment on a few of your
