Nate-
yep, tried that and still the same story: only exhibits that behavior in DV
mode.

Thanks for all of the info, folks. Here are a couple of more pieces of
info/answers to your inquiries:
-The truck is a 2005 F150 Fx4, single battery system
-Power cable from the battery to the Rig Runner block is 8 gauge
-All fuses check out, have no measurable resistance
-Load test of the battery
Good point, John. That will be my next step when I have a moment. Something has
changed about the conditions in the truck and/or radio, as the system worked
fine for 1+ years before this. Also, my D710a works fine on the same power
supply in the truck. Obviously a different radio altogether, but
did notice that when the truck is running, the power to the rig is a bit high
(14.5V). When keyed on high power and when the truck is off, voltage drops from
12V to 11.6V. I think I might need to invest in a voltage regulator. Any
suggestions?

7;s still wired directly to the truck
battery through a rig runner block. Perhaps the fuse in that block or the
inline fuses.
Hope I can diagnose it without removing the rig from the truck and sending it
back to Icom.
Thanks for the input folks.

one there is no problem. It
seems to be working fine on low and medium power settings.
Any ideas? I've never had this problem before on this rig. (I'm not near the
rig right now).

connecting to it when my DRATS is running in case anyone wants to join in.

Our net is on Tuesday evenings at 20:00 Mountain time (03:00 GMT) on W0CDS port

welcome.

Any ideas? I sure like using the Foretrex with my D7 and it would be
nice to use with the '91 on D-STAR as well.
Thanks for any advice-
