Thanks for your comments. I made a mistake when I sent the question I
intended for Steve to the whole reflector. My apologies to all.
It does seem that some of the newer, cost-reduced network gear is
sub-standard. Too bad the US FCC doesn't require immunity as well as
emissions

I believe I remember someone posting comments about problems with DSL
routers. One version was fairly immune to RF and the other, newer one was
not. Can't find the discussion in the archive, though.

I can't speak to its suitability for use with a D-Star gateway, however, I
have a Netgear RT314 with an all-metal case which chugs along just fine
within 20 feet of my HF, VHF, and UHF antennas (up to 100 watts out on HF
and VHF, up to 75 on UHF), while a newer Netgear RT614 with a plastic case
