Allrighty, I have taken the plunge and dismantled the PowerBook. So far the KB, palmrest, and shields are off. I have disconnected the black and red lead on the logic board. I think that this is the PRAM battery. The black and red wires go underneath the LB on the right edge next to the ba

Okay, turns out that the red and black leads on the right are the speaker leads. Disconnect those and there is no click upon hitting of the reset button. There is another set of leads that go to the underside of the LB that are connected on top on the left side of the LB. I plugged in a KB,

Damn it damn it damn it! Got through two restarts, and a shutdown without the RAM card in and (presumeably) the PRAM disconnected. Switched over to OS 9.1 to set its Energy Saver and did not have enough RAM with a shift restart. I shut down, popped the RAM card in and ... GLOD. Took out the
