I noticed after doing a power manager reset when I give up and unplug the computer from power it does the squeal like s stuck pig for about 2 seconds and fades out. Not the broken glass crash sound but a quick squeal. Anybody have a ribbon cable? I can't believe it is going to die : ( on me. tha

List members, One more thig I forgot to add. I took all apart and the HD looks like it is in correctly the boards are seated all connections look good. The ram was in good and I tried the old ram. I have not tried the old HD yet. Seems like if it were a HD issue it would at least get past the GLO

List members The 2400 a friend sent me after he botched a hard drive replacement needs help. I really would like to get it running. It has no broken pieces (except the ribbon cable to the track pad) I did that one after a slip. It looks like it was rarely used. I am sure it probably needs a PRAM

Hi, list- I'm wondering if the motherboard active-matrix connection on a 270c is the same as the one on the 280c/2300c. I know the 280c screen will work on both the 280c and 2300c motherboards, but will a 270c LCD (and connector) work on the two newer models as well? I'm under the impression that

List members, After longing for a 2400 for years I finally have one. A friend sent me one he had sitting in a closet for 2 years. He tried to put a new 6 gig HD in from MCE and it never started up again. I am assuming my friend screwed it up : ) When I hit the On/Off button it does nothing. HD
