A long-time list-lurker here
I thought I would share with you my early experience
with the Electrovaya PowerPad 160 external power source and my 2400c (G3 320 mhz).
I know that a few others had indicated they would post their results but I dont
recall seeing anything yet.

I'm a longtime lister who finally experienced my first terminal GLOD
after about 5 years of using my 2400c. In the past, I've been able to
revive the 'book from this condition, this time I could not. After
avoiding doing my own work on this model for years because of the dire

Has taken a look at OS 9.2.1 to see if we 2400c jockeys stand to gain anything from
upgrading? And if so, has anyone figured out a way to get it to install (trying to
upgrade from 9.1 gave me the unsupported machine message)?
Thanks,
Gary

Just did this...while it works, I wouldn't exactly call it HDTV. I picked up an
AVerKey3 Plus unit (manufacturer =
AVerMedia) off eBay for $50-60, and it permits you to take the 2400's VGA out to a box
that cables into either the s-video
or RCA inputs of your TV.

I've been using a Lind Power Pack with my 2400c, Model APP-240. It's NiMH, a little
heavy, but it's pretty compact (10 x 6.4 x 1) and lasts a long time--haven't clocked it
for duration but have used it on boats in Alaska and in rustic cabins over whole
weekends without draining it. Don't know if
plaints
here, and I wouldn't reject OS9 out of hand on the 2400c.

Thought I would pass on this word from Kevin at MCE--I had asked if the
newly available 30 gig IBM HD was compatible and certified for the
2400c. It took a while, but here's his reply:
