[Duo2400] Electrovaya PowerPad results

2003-07-23 Thread Gary Shigenaka
A long-time list-lurker here…I thought I would share with you my early experience with the Electrovaya PowerPad 160 external power source and my 2400c (G3 320 mhz). I know that a few others had indicated they would post their results but I don’t recall seeing anything yet. For those of you who are

[Duo2400] 2400c GLOD and 96 MB RAM

2003-10-22 Thread Gary Shigenaka
I'm a longtime lister who finally experienced my first terminal GLOD after about 5 years of using my 2400c. In the past, I've been able to revive the 'book from this condition, this time I could not. After avoiding doing my own work on this model for years because of the dire warnings about t

[Duo2400] OS 9.2.1

2001-08-22 Thread Gary Shigenaka
Has taken a look at OS 9.2.1 to see if we 2400c jockeys stand to gain anything from upgrading? And if so, has anyone figured out a way to get it to install (trying to upgrade from 9.1 gave me the unsupported machine message)? Thanks, Gary -- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on th

Just did this...while it works, I wouldn't exactly call it HDTV. I picked up an AVerKey3 Plus unit (manufacturer = AVerMedia) off eBay for $50-60, and it permits you to take the 2400's VGA out to a box that cables into either the s-video or RCA inputs of your TV. > > --

plaints here, and I wouldn't reject OS9 out of hand on the 2400c. Gary Shigenaka -- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net! A listserv for users and fans of Mac subportables. FAQ at <http://www.themacintoshguy.com/lists/DuoListFAQ.shtml> Be sure to visit Mac2400! <ht

[Duo2400] 30 gig HD for 2400c

2000-09-18 Thread Gary Shigenaka
Thought I would pass on this word from Kevin at MCE--I had asked if the newly available 30 gig IBM HD was compatible and certified for the 2400c. It took a while, but here's his reply: If you haven't already found this out, we finally got a chance to test the 30GB and everything appears to be ok
