If the screen never lights up it may be a GLOD or a screen issue. The external monitor is a good idea. Seems pretty obvious @ this point that it's a screen issue. In fact, occasionally the screen will blink like it's _trying_ to display -- seems almost more like a loose connection than anything

Does the sleep LED blink ? If you dont even get the screen to power on, you may have the dreadedGLOD. The sleep LED blinks. And I've hooked up an external monitor to the PB, and it turns out not to be wiped at all (I only had the GF's word that it had been wiped, actually it's fully loaded
