Got me on that one. There is a chip w/serial number in the battery (this is how it tracks the reconditioning process) but I am not sure what limits this causes. Specifically, if there are any limits on charging/life related to the info in the chip. I haven't a Duo at present and have no Typ

Mark, the Type III I rebuilt for a friend is running great. The Type I battery uses AA sized cells, the Type III 4/5ths "A" cells. I get my cells from www.batteriesamerica.com or just wait for a local "hamfest" (amateur radio fleamarket) and get them from the vendors there. Just make sure yo
