As a conservative Republican I managed to under estimate the amount
of coax and control cable needed. Oh well!
If you were a liberal Democrat you would have had someone else
pay for it. :-)
BTW, I didn't think there were any conservative Republicans, other
than in nursing homes :-)
Jim - We ALL get those QuikCop notices when we post. I ignore them.
There's no problem responding but why bother? It's idiotic to subscribe
to a list and then have a filter on. If you ever discover who uses
this, let Ron, WN3VAW, list moderator, know so the offender(s) can be
unsubscribed.

I have heard from one of the people using QuikCop. Said individual advises
the following, and I quote:
"I am using quikcop, but because the email is delivered as if it came from
individuals rather than the DX Chat list, I cannot solve the problem by
adding

I'd also like to point out it is trivial to add email addresses at random
to someones list. Quik Cop is a particularly poor piece of software.
Anyway, I'm using one of these Bayesian type spam filters and it is remarkably
effective at dealing with spam. Here is an article comparing several:

It seems like I have read that you can check your current dxcc status
online, at the ARRL website. I went to the site, but cannot find the place
to do this. I suspect you must log in as an ARRL member, and then maybe
you have the option to check current (individual) dxcc status, is that

I hate to post about non ham-related questions, but because it was
generated from this list (somehow) it may affect a lot of us.
In response to my recent post with a question about the ARRL website, I
got the following message (which is only part of what the message says,

These things make me hoping mad. I'll see if I can figure out who is doing this.

While on the topic of DXCC HR Listings,
I'd like to see the Single Band DXCC Listings
based on Current Entities instead of lifetime totals.
I believe 'most' of the Top Guns use 'negative accounting'
i.e. number of Needed Entities as their measuring stick instead
of total entities.
With Current

I haven't been licensed that long, and, up until 5 years ago, I could make
the same claim! No longer.."come on in, the water's fine"!

Title: [DX-CHAT] Top of the HR? RTTY
Steve,
What changed is the DXCC Rules. See DXCC Rules, Section I, 1., s). Now, to
be on the Honor Roll, you need to be within ten of the top, not just within ten
of the top DXer. Since the Honor Roll is so defined, the Top must be all
entities.
