Intuitively, I agree with your conclusion. The ham population in general seems
to be getting older, and with CW being optional now, it doesn't surprise me a
bit that younger folks are MIA's. You might post a summary of your responses.
It would be interesting.

There only seems to be one alternative to "getting older"? Personally, I much
prefer "getting older", than the alternative? :>)
