I would suggest you keep your rig, and amplifier (that goes on 110AC) and
at least a 2 ele. beam (armstrong aimed)...you got a chance...CW is your
best bet.

Harry some people never seem to "get it"! Who hasn't made a keying
mistake? Who hasn't been able to copy every letter of the "roadrunner" cw
op?? I never had received a QLF until I went on a DXpedition. (of all
places!!)
I was on Sable Island back in 1996 (CYØAA), was on 40 meters at about 3-4
AM
Yep...Dave K8MN (then J52US) made one from a "shore transmitting station"
final tube when he was in Guinea Bissau. I recall Bencht (J52BLU) had
given him an old burnt out tube when he was working on the shore station.
It's about 12" in diameter and about 18" tall. VERY impressive piece of
furnit
