Indeed the solution by Progger works ! protobuf from this ppa (protobuf 2.5.0) replaces libprotobuf.so.7 with libprotobuf.so.8 I wasn't aware that unity uses protobuf and couldn't connect this ppa upgrade with unity problem because i wasn't restarting unity for a long time. Issue resolved !

In my case I fix this by downgrading libprotobuf7 to version in repository. Until that moment I had a version from PPA: https://launchpad.net/~chris-lea/+archive/protobuf -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of DX Packages, which is subscribed to unity in Ubuntu.
